Officers responded to the area at about 1:31 a.m. following reports of a shooting, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

A TPD watch commander told the Democrat that shooting happened inside Zingales Billiards and Sports Bar.

When they arrived, officers found an adult man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Life‑saving measures were attempted, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.

“Preliminary findings indicate the shooting occurred during a large physical altercation,” the agency wrote in an incident alert posted to Facebook. “Currently, there is no known ongoing threat to the public.”

The incident remains an “open and active investigation.” No additional details about the victim or possible suspects were immediately released.
