FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (WINK)—Lynn Hall Memorial Park will close to the public starting Monday for ongoing construction related to Hurricane Ian recovery efforts.
The park will undergo repairs and enhancements, including upgrades to ADA-accessible boardwalks, picnic shelters, landscaping, lighting and signage, according to a press release. An elevated restroom facility will also be constructed to improve accessibility and visitor experience.
The project is expected to be completed in early summer 2027. During construction, portable restroom facilities and a pedestrian access walkway will remain open on the west end of the park.
The park and its parking lot will be closed. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative parking at Bowditch Point Park, where parking fees are $2 per hour.
Patrons can also use the Beach Park & Ride located at 11101 Summerlin Square Drive, which offers more than 125 free parking spaces with bus service to the beach.
The construction schedule is weather permitting and subject to change. Visitors are asked to pay attention to signs and avoid closed areas for their safety.
