Key Biscayne will become a “very spooky” island come Halloween.

Kids will be dressed up in their favorite costumes trick or treating, parents will be throwing Halloween parties inside their homes and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, local businesses and the Village of Key Biscayne are also getting into the spooky spirit.

From 6-9 p.m., on Halloween, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is hosting a Halloween Extravaganza called HOWL-O-WEEN at the Cleat, a dog costume contest by the water, with paws, claws and a few awws.

Awards for best costumes include cutest monster, spookiest duo and audience favorite.

Fifty percent of proceeds benefit Friends of Cape Florida, with the remaining 50 percent awarded as cash prizes to the winning pooches.

A $20 registration fee is required.

Novecento Key Biscayne is also hosting a Halloween Costume Contest Extravaganza from 9-11:55 p.m., also on Halloween.

The event’s proceeds from bar sales benefit Fundacion Espartanos.

Milanezza is hosting two Halloween events on the same night.

One is family trick-or-treat night at Milanezza, where attendees will enjoy scary Halloween movies, treats, happy hour specials and plenty of festive surprises throughout the evening.

The event runs from 7-11 p.m.

Milanezza Kitchen Bar and Market is also hosting a Hollywood Glam red-carpet event for Halloween from 9:30-11:55 p.m., on Halloween.

Guests donning their favorite costumes will be given the movie star treatment, as the host will roll out the red carpet for an exciting and thrilling night.

There’s no cover charge for both Halloween events at Milanezza.

The Village of Key Biscayne is hosting two Halloween events at the Community Center.

From noon-1 p.m., on October 30, the center’s Island Room will host a lunch Halloween Celebration with Wicked Ask Club Performance.

The event will also feature a costume contest and a defy gravity session for a wicked good time.

The cost for members is free and $10 for non members.
