Rapper Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot on Monday night while in a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. The former Migos member has been hospitalized and is stable.
Offset suffered “non-life-threatening injuries,” but his exact condition is not known.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” a rep confirmed in a statement to Rolling Stone. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”

Two people were detained by the Seminole Police Department in connection with the shooting.

Offset is the cousin of Takeoff, another former Migos member whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, who was fatally shot at a bowling alley in November 2022.
It is believed that Migos broke up before 2022, with Takeoff and Quavo releasing an album titled Only Built for Infinity Links, while Offset began a successful career as a solo artist. Offset was married to Cardi B, and they share three children: two daughters and a son. Offset also had two sons and a daughter from previous relationships.

Rapper Lil Tjay’s attorney refutes social media rumors
As news of the shooting spread on social media, unfounded rumors began to surface that rapper Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merrit, was involved in the shooting. However, his attorney released a statement on social media refuting the claims.
“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which [resulted] in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos,” Tjay’s attorney, Dawn M. Florio, wrote on social media.
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
We wish Offset a full and speedy recovery.
