After two straight weeks of falling prices, Miami drivers are paying slightly more at the pump, up about 1.2 cents per gallon. The Miami Metro area average now stands at $2.94 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s latest survey of 1,690 stations.

That new price remains unchanged from a month ago, but 20 cents lower than this time last year. Prices across Miami vary widely, from $2.37 at the cheapest station to $4.49 on Key Biscayne, among the area’s highest.

Nationally, the average price rose 2.5 cents in the past week to $3.00 per gallon. GasBuddy analysts attribute the bump to a Midwest refinery fire that temporarily drove up wholesale prices but expect the national average to dip below $3 per gallon ahead of thanksgiving.
