WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park is getting a new visitor center, according to state officials.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday to kick off construction on the new center.
“The new facility will expand meeting spaces, interpretive exhibits and educational programming while complementing the Spanish Mediterranean Revival architecture of the park’s Lodge,” according to a press release from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

The new visitor center is expected to be completed by early 2027, according to the DEP.
