JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – News4JAX is learning more about a recent study that found the shrimp you order off the menu at many local restaurants is being falsely represented as local.
Researchers from SeaD Consulting say they discovered 57% of restaurants ‘explicitly misrepresented’ that they were serving local or American wild-caught shrimp, including shrimp marketed as iconic “Mayport Shrimp.”
Erin Williams, Founder and COO of SeaD Consulting sat down with Jennifer Waugh on News4JAX+ at 10 a.m. via Zoom to discuss the findings.
