Thrōw Social Miami is turning Thursday nights in Wynwood into a full-on Latin dance experience with the launch of Salsa Society Thursdays, a new weekly event blending complimentary salsa lessons, live entertainment and chef-driven bites in the venue’s tropical-inspired indoor-outdoor setting.
Created in partnership with Miami Salsa Events, the series invites guests of all experience levels to step onto the dance floor each Thursday beginning at 8 p.m. in the expansive outdoor courtyard at Thrōw Social Miami, located at the former Oasis Wynwood. The evening begins with a free salsa class led by instructor Mel in Motion, giving beginners a chance to learn the basics while more experienced dancers can sharpen their moves.
As the night unfolds, the rhythm builds with live percussion by conga player Eduardo Cano and timbales performer Sasha Rodriguez, setting the tone for an energetic social dance atmosphere. Guests can then keep the momentum going with music from DJ Mike Caldero y Sus Bravos, who carries the party late into the night as dancing continues through 2 a.m.
Open to the public with no cover charge, Salsa Society Thursdays is designed to showcase the lively spirit of Thrōw Social Miami, pairing social dancing with handcrafted cocktails, chef-driven menu offerings and an upbeat nightlife vibe. For those looking to take the experience up a notch, VIP cabanas and lounge options are also available.
Thrōw Social Miami, located at 2335 N. Miami Ave. in Wynwood, is the newest outpost of the Thrōw Social brand, which also has locations in Washington, D.C., and Delray Beach. Developed by Ginger Brands, the 35,000-square-foot venue blends games, dining and nightlife in an elevated tropical-chic environment. By day, it welcomes families and children, while nights shift to a 21-and-over atmosphere starting at 9 p.m. The space features everything from LED ping-pong and giant board games to live entertainment, dog-friendly brunches and hybrid event capabilities centered around a massive 28-foot LED video wall.
