ORLANDO, Fla. — All this week, inside the Orlando Museum of Art, is a frenzy of creators hoping to outshine and out-design. Art is in bloom.

The annual event is, fittingly, called Art in Bloom. It is presented by the Council of 101 and supports the Orlando Museum of Art’s exhibitions and educational programs.
Art in Bloom is like a high-fashion gallery crawl in which florists “remix” classic masterpieces into living, breathing botanical sculptures.
Tracy Post of Mount Dora is one of those designers. She makes a living creating wedding florals. “So you have to do what the customer wants,” she told us. But that’s not what’s happening this week at the festival. “This, we can be creative and do what we want to do.”
The theme for 2026 is Parisian. Visitors are visually transported to the Champs-Élysée, the famed high-end shopping avenue in Paris. Designers are tasked with building a floral structure in front of notable pieces of art to give them new and fresh dimensions. Special events also are part of the weekend.
Art in Bloom is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 10-12 at the Orlando Museum of Art. Some special events take place after the museum hours. Tickets start at $12 for children and $20 for adults.
