• I am ticked off at the way UFL games are broadcast. Now that Orlando has a team, I was interested in watching. But while the game is in play, the screen is divided into multiple boxes with player and coach interviews, announcer analysis and sometimes just shots of coordinators watching the game. The game itself is squeezed into one of the boxes. Kids may love all this hive of activity, but this old fogy just wanted to watch a game and I find it too annoying to bother watching.

• I’m ticked off at the Kia dealer that advertises a $39.99 full synthetic oil change. They accept the coupon, but after the work is done they tell you that your model requires a premium oil, which is not part of the special. Car dealers drive me crazy!

• I’m ticked off that Ticked Off has become political. It used to be my favorite part of the newspaper. No more!

The flip side

• Tremendous gratitude, love and thanks to my dearest Cyndi! After completely ensuring all my life needs following a complete shoulder replacement from a service-connected injury: Dressing, feeding, laundry, dishes, driving me to physical therapy and my mood fluctuating, she now is repeating socks on and off, cooking and laundry, as I’ve incurred two severely pinched nerves. We will see the spinal surgeon to determine next steps. It’s been said, “Behind every good man, there’s always a better woman!” My better half is this and more! Thank you, dear. I love you.
