Major crash closes part of I-4 south of downtown Orlando

A major crash shut down a part of I-4 westbound just south of downtown Orlando.The crash happened around 8:30 Wednesday morning near the Michigan Street exit.Orlando police are were on scene working to clear the crash. There were major delays in the area as traffic from SR-408 also merges onto I-4 westbound.Drivers can use the I-4 westbound express lanes to avoid the backups. Drivers need to enter the express lanes near the Maitland Boulevard exit if they are already on I-4 or in downtown Orlando if they are entering the interstate.All of the lanes have since reopened.

The crash happened around 8:30 Wednesday morning near the Michigan Street exit.

Orlando police are on scene working to clear the crash.

One lane is open to drivers.

There are major delays in the area as traffic from SR-408 also merges onto I-4 westbound.
