LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—If you have a suspended license or an overdue traffic ticket, the Lee County Clerk and Comptroller’s “Operation Green Light” could be your ticket to driving legally again.
Those whose fines have gone to collections can pay them off and to be charged the 25% collection surcharge. They can also take advantage of special payment plans during the event.
Operation Green Light will take place April 14-17 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lee Clerk’s office at the Justice Center in downtown Fort Myers and the Cape Coral branch.
On April 17, the final day of Operation Green Light, the Clerk’s office will be open until 6 p.m. at the Justice Center in downtown Fort Myers.

Since 2020, Operation Green Light has saved customers millions of dollars in collection fees, and thousands of people have become eligible to get their licenses back.

During Operation Green Light, customers may enter into an affordable monthly payment plan for traffic cases and criminal court fees. Cash, credit card, check, and/or money order will be accepted. If paying with cash, we recommend bringing exact change. There is a fee to use a credit card. In addition to payment plans, community service is an option for certain qualifying fines.
