TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man has been indicted on federal charges for child exploitation crimes, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Florida.
Chandler Smith, 27, was indicted on one count of distribution of attempted enticement of a minor and one count of attempted transfer of obscene material to minors, the attorney’s office says.
“If convicted, Smith faces a minimum of 10 years’ imprisonment, and up to life imprisonment on the attempted enticement count. Smith also faces up to 10 years’ imprisonment on the attempted transfer of obscene materials count,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
A jury trial is scheduled for May 26, 2026.
