This is another one of those weekends that we need to appreciate before things get too warm … There is food, of course, with Smorgasburg’s open-air debut in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket, and barbecue parties in Boynton Beach and Dania Beach. You can dance at Hollywood Salsa Fest or slow walk through Delray Affair, Evening on Antique Row and Wynwood Art Walk. There also will be moments of stirring inspiration from Nu Deco Ensemble, Seraphic Fire, Marrakesh-based blues band Bab L’ Bluz and comedian Fiona Cauley, who tells jokes from a wheelchair. Oh, and did someone say Post Malone? Kenny Chesney?

On with the shows: Catch performances of the touring production of Tony Award-winning Broadway musical-comedy “Kimberly Akimbo” through Sunday at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday,  and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Diamond life: The Neil Diamond musical “A Beautiful Noise” sets up at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach this weekend for performances at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: Kravis.org.

Weekend movies: The 43rd annual Miami Film Festival continues through April 19, with a slate of more than 160 features, documentaries and short films drawing attendees, actors, filmmakers and other industry professionals from around the world. Thursday’s opening night will feature a 7:30 p.m. screening at the Olympia Theater of Oscar-winning director Daniel Roher’s safecracker thriller “Tuner,”  starring Leo Woodall, Dustin Hoffman and Havana Rose Liu. The after-party will follow across the street at the Historic Alfred I. duPont Building, with festivities in the safe of the former bank. Mood music: Uplifting indie rock band Mt. Boots in the sand: Frisky oceanfront country-music picnic Tortuga Music Festival kicks off at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park on Friday with one of the more anticipated headliners in its history, musical chameleon Post Malone. The festival will continue through Sunday with headliners Riley Green (Saturday) and Kenny Chesney (Sunday), along with a lineup highlighted by Ice Cube, Dwight Yoakam, Lukas Nelson, Tyler Hubbard (Florida Georgia Line), Colbie Caillat, The Fray and a bunch of up-and-comers worth checking out. Affair to remember: The 64th annual Delray Affair will host hundreds of artists and food and drink vendors along seven blocks of downtown Delray Beach’s bustling East Atlantic Avenue (from Northwest Second Avenue to Southeast Fifth Avenue) all weekend. Nu Bee Gees: Nu Deco Ensemble will wrap up its season on Friday with an evening of celestial music at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. Featuring collaborations with guest vocalists Wyclef Jean and Ledisi, the program also will include Gustav Holst’s “Jupiter” and a new symphonic suite inspired by the music of the Bee Gees. Glorious food: The new South Florida edition of Smorgasburg, the weekly open-air food market and dining hang that used to be in Wynwood, will debut in its new home in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village this weekend. Open from noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Smorg (as it’s known to friends) will offer a dynamic range of food from more than three dozen food and drink vendors surrounded by umbrella-ed picnic tables. Dance fever: Downtown Hollywood will be the salsa capital of South Florida this weekend when the 11th annual Hollywood Salsa Fest returns to the ArtsPark at Young Circle on Saturday from 2 to 11 p.m. Led by its founder, Melina Almodóvar (“La Muñeca de la Salsa”), this family-friendly celebration of Latin culture will feature live salsa orchestras and dancing to acts including Moncho Rivera, Chino Nuñez, Jessy Diaz, Ysabella Eslava and others. Blues for all: Bab L’ Bluz is a Moroccan-French psych-rock band from Marrakesh, Morocco — featuring the melismatic vocals and guitar of Yousra Mansour out front — whose captivating sound echoes with ancient rhythms from northern Africa to the Mississippi Delta.
