The original star of Universal’s The Mummy franchise visited the popular indoor coaster during a recent trip to Orlando, while the whereabouts of his coffee remain unknown.
Brendan Fraser Snapped Riding ‘Revenge of the Mummy’
A post shared via the official Universal Pictures Instagram spotlights Brendan Fraser’s surprise appearance on Revenge of the Mummy, the fan-favorite Universal Studios Florida coaster themed to Fraser’s The Mummy films.
The post shares the on-ride photo of Fraser, accompanied by eight other guests, near the climax of the attraction. The candid image shows Fraser either securing or removing his baseball cap right before the ride’s intense final sequence. The post description adds:
Getting back into character! Brendan Fraser had a blast braving Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride at @unistudios in preparation for reprising the role of Rick O’Connell.
The actor likely visited Universal Orlando Resort while he was in central Florida around mid-March for the MEGACON Orlando fan event. Much of the cast of Universal’s 1999 The Mummy appeared for signings and a panel session during the convention.
‘The Mummy 4’ Entering Production Later This Year
A new Mummy installment is scheduled for release in 2028, with Fraser set to return as Rick O’Connell alongside Rachel Weisz, while John Hannah is also expected to reprise his role.
Universal Orlando’s Revenge of the Mummy opened in 2004 as an indoor dark ride/roller coaster hybrid themed to The Mummy films, putting guests inside a cursed tomb setting with special effects like fire, scarabs, warrior mummies, darkness, and sudden launches.
