AT THAT TIME, WE ALSO HEARD FROM THE DETECTIVE FROM THE CAPE CORAL POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME SHES A STAB WOUND TO HER LEFT EYE. >> SHE HAD SEVERAL LACERATIONS TO HER FACE AND NECK. SHE HAD BRUISING ON HER NECK. DETECTIVES SAY ROSEMARY’S DAUGHTER FOUND HER BODY ON HER RECLINER INSIDE HER HOME ALONG JACARANDA PARKWAY WEST. IN SEPTEMBER, DETECTIVES SAY THERE WERE FOOTPRINTS INSIDE THE HOUSE AND THEY FOUND 2 KNIVES ON JACARANDA PARKWAY WHICH THEY BELIEVE WERE USED IN THE CRIME. INVESTIGATORS SAY JOHNSON ATTEMPTED TO FLEE BECAUSE COUNTY DEPUTIES EVENTUALLY CAUGHT UP WITH HIM AND STOPPED HIM IN NORTH NAPLES. >> JOHNSON ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A RUN FOR IT. A Cape Coral man who was charged for the murder of his mother is scheduled to return to court in December after his attorney appeared on his behalf on Monday.Detectives say the murder happened last month on Sept. 16. on Jacaranda Parkway in Cape Coral. Devin Johnson, 28, is accused of stabbing his 69-year-old mother, Rosemary Johnson, more than 100 times.
