A 17-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after police say he brought a loaded gun to school, according to the Orlando Police Department. School resource officers at Dr. Phillips High School were notified that a student on campus was armed with a firearm. The student was located in a classroom but tried to run from officers. “A loaded 9mm handgun was recovered from (his) backpack, which was in his possession at the time,” OPD said. A 17-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after police say he brought a loaded gun to school, according to the Orlando Police Department.
