A new Korean barbecue spot is firing up grills on Jacksonville’s Southside. Gogi Korean BBQ opened March 6, in the Regency area, taking over the former Red Lobster at 416 Commerce Center Drive. The all-you-can-eat restaurant offers a menu of beef, pork, lamb and seafood cooked tableside by diners themselves.
Gogi joins a small but growing group of Korean barbecue restaurants in Jacksonville, alongside established spots like GEN Korean BBQ House at the Markets at Town Center and Vagabond Korean Steakhouse near Tinseltown.
For newcomers, Korean BBQ offers a different experience from traditional American barbecue. Instead of large cuts of meat cooked “low and slow,” Korean BBQ features smaller portions grilled quickly over high heat right at the table. The hands-on format — where diners cook their own food — makes the meal as interactive as it is flavorful.

1. ‘All-you-can-eat’ pricing and time limits
Gogi Korean BBQ offers an all-you-can-eat menu priced at $34.99 per adult. Children under 4 feet tall are half price, while those 3 feet and shorter eat free, according to the menu. Some premium items are not included in the all-you-can-eat option and are priced separately. Diners should also note the two-hour time limit, which begins once the order is placed; exceeding that window results in a 30% upcharge for every additional 30 minutes.
2. Group ordering and how it works
At Gogi, the entire table is required to order from the same menu, a common practice at Korean BBQ restaurants. To help first-time diners, the restaurant provides guidance on how to order as well as basic grilling instructions, making it easier to navigate the experience and cook food properly at the table.
3. Interactive dining and menu variety
Korean BBQ is known for its hands-on, interactive dining style, and Gogi delivers with a wide selection of meats and seafood grilled tableside. Guests can choose from thinly sliced, marinated or unmarinated options like ribeye bulgogi, brisket, pork belly, chicken thighs and lamb. The menu also includes seafood such as shrimp, calamari and lobster tail. Meals are typically paired with traditional sides like kimchi, pickled vegetables, bean sprouts and seaweed salad, offering a well-rounded and customizable dining experience.

Asado Life, a popular live-fire grilling restaurant established in St. Augustine three years ago, is coming to downtown Jacksonville. The concept from Nick Carrera is slated to join the Shipyards project under construction across from EverBank Stadium, Jaguars team owner Shad Khan’s Iguana Investments announced in September. The 140-seat, full-service restaurant with indoor and patio dining will be part of the development’s marina support building located on the Northbank Riverwalk just west of the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jacksonville and south of a nearby office building, both taking shape at the site. When is Gogi Korean BBQ open?
Gogi Korean BBQ is open from 3:30 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and Sunday, according to its Google listing.
