A 6-year-old boy died following a drowning incident in Fort Myers.
The incident occurred on Autumnwood Court on Sunday morning.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the boy passed away despite CPR efforts by his family and a neighbor.
After the call, which came in at 10:42 a.m., LCSO arrived and continued lifesaving measures, though the child did not survive.
The community mourns the loss of the young boy, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
