Universal Orlando Resort has announced several changes coming to CityWalk, including the return of Universal Legacy Store and closure of Burger King Whopper Bar.

The store is returning to CityWalk after its “permanent” closure in 2024. This store, located in the heart of CityWalk, was a fan-favorite since it opened, housing props from extinct attractions, old theme park models, and more.

The Epic Universe Preview Center took its spot, which opened in June 2024. That will close on April 13 to bring back the Universal Legacy Store, which will then open in late April.

Burger King Whopper Bar Closing

Also located in CityWalk, the Burger King Whopper Bar allowed you to choose from over 20 toppings as your sandwich is assembled before your eyes. It is set to close on April 21 to make way for a Five Guys location.

Universal Orlando and Country star Luke Combs recently announced that the third location of Combs’ Category 10 entertainment venue franchise will be at Universal CityWalk. Sometime in late 2027, Combs’ Category 10 will open at CityWalk, following the 2024 opening of his flagship location in Nashville and the late 2026 debut of the Las Vegas location. It will be three stories and 33,000 square feet.

New today, the waterfront location will feature live music, food, spirits, and more. The opening timeline is 2027. A waterfront location is an exciting development for this restaurant.
