A suspect has been arrested Friday more than a week after a 20-year-old woman was killed in west Orlando: A teenager who police said shot her during an argument about loud noise.
After midnight on April 1, Celebrity Green was babysitting a child at an apartment on the 700 block of Ivey Lane near Lake Mann when she asked two people to leave over excessive noise, the Orlando Police Department said in a news release.
During the argument, the teen, who turned 17 this week, pulled out a gun and shot at her several times.
She was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she died of her injuries. The child she was caring for was not injured by the gunfire.
The teen, who the Orlando Sentinel isn’t naming because he hasn’t been charged as an adult, was arrested by OPD’s fugitive investigations unit and SWAT and charged with second-degree murder.
