Boca Raton, FL – April 10, 2026 – With the official unveiling just days away, Ft. Lauderdale’s Stonewall National Museum, Archives & Library’s (SNMAL) newest exhibit’s booklet, entitled ‘Von Steuben: Architect of American Independence,’ has been included in Palm Beach’s own The Bunker Artspace, “Beyond the Rainbow” exhibit. The Bunker is a premier private art venue known for its poignant rotating exhibits as well as unique range of decor. 

Situated with iconic literature in the Bunker library, SNMAL’s specially-printed booklet is available for visitors to view, offering a sneak peak of an exhibit unlike any other that will be open from April 17th to May 15th. Unlike others, the Von Steuben exhibit was created thanks to a major grant awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), extolling the unrivaled contributions to the American Revolution and history made by gay General and Prussian Baron Friedrich William Baron von Steuben.

“While on a private tour of their breathtaking exhibit, The Bunker’s curator offered to include our booklet in the exhibit,” said Robert Kesten, President and CEO, Stonewall National Museum, Archives, & Library. “With the Bunker having one of the great private art collections in the world, this was a great way to end an extraordinary day for us and the Stonewall donors who participated.”

Kesten continued, “The federal government grant making our exhibit possible is acknowledging the historic work of a gay, immigrant man who came to the United States underfunded, in need of work and unable to speak the language. His impact on our military can still be felt today. book, “Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States” is still in print today. He trained George Washington’s Continental Army, and his name has been immortalized in countless maps, businesses, monuments, and more. Despite this, few people know much about him, and we’re aiming to change that.” 

The Von Steuben: Architect of American Independence exhibit opens next Friday, April 17th at 6pm ET at Stonewall National Museum, 1300 East Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. RSVP [email protected]to attend.
