For as much talent as Florida State has already landed in the 2027 cycle, they’re still looking for a running back to commit. On Saturday, they’ll host Preston Beckham out of Tampa, Florida.

“I will be at FSU tomorrow,” Beckham wrote on Friday.

Beckham has had productive seasons in each of the last two years. As a sophomore, he finished with 691 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Beckham had his best year as a junior with 1,122 yards and 11 touchdowns, which included six games over 100 yards.

He’s received scholarship offers from USF, Coastal Carolina, Pittsburgh, Rhode Island, Bowling Green, Toledo, and Cincinnati in 2026 alone. FSU has not offered Beckham as of right now, but that certainly could change after this weekend.

This will be the first time that Beckham has taken a visit to see Florida State. Making a great first impression will be critical.

Beckham isn’t a ranked recruit at the moment.
