JENSEN BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Law enforcement is on the ground in Jensen Beach Saturday morning as deputies track a suspect who robbed a Chase Bank.

Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and detectives swarmed the scene shortly after 9:00 a.m. following reports of a robbery at the branch.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from employees.

While deputies say the man did not brandish a weapon, he repeatedly reached for his waistband during the encounter, leading tellers to believe he was armed.

After securing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect reportedly fled the building.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build, last seen wearing a black shirt with white lettering, long jean shorts, black Nike sneakers with a white logo, a red baseball cap with a white “P,” and sunglasses.

He fled the area in a black Jeep Compass or similar black SUV, traveling southbound on Federal Highway.
