Troopers said the driver of a Ford F-150 left on foot after being involved in a crash with two other vehicles.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that left a 17-year-old boy dead and a 40-year-old man injured.
Troopers said this happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday when a Mulberry man and a Seffner teen were driving on State Road 574 in their respective vehicles.
The 40-year-old man was going westbound when he crashed nearly head-on with the teen’s car causing both vehicles to rotate before eventually coming to a final rest, FHP says.
A Ford F-150 then hits the teen’s vehicle before the suspect driver left the scene at foot.
The 40 and 17-year-old were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, which is where the teenager later died.
Anyone with information on who was involved in the crash is asked to call *FHP (*347) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
