The former interim director of the Wynwood Business Improvement District is facing theft charges, authorities said.
Florentino Diaz, 45, was arrested Tuesday on charges of grand theft and organized fraud, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
Further details of his arrest weren’t immediately available.
Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales were expected to hold a news conference Tuesday afternoon to discuss the arrest.
