Fire on Central Avenue in Fort Myers draws large emergency response

A fire broke out inside an apartment building in Fort Myers on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at Carrell Road and Central Avenue.

Firefighters quickly responded to the third-floor fire and managed to contain it before it could spread further.

One person was being evaluated by Lee County EMS, and a fire investigator was on the scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
