‘Campus Connections Concert: Celebrating America 250’

This year marks the United States of America’s 250th birthday.

There are numerous events honoring the country’s history leading up to the big day on July 4.

That includes a free, patriotic concert at St. Petersburg College this week.

“Campus Connections Concert: Celebrating America 250” will take place Thursday at the Palladium Theater at SPC.

The program will showcase powerful and moving works highlighting American themes of patriotism, landscapes, inspirational leaders and historic achievements.

The Honor Flight of West Central Florida will be recognized at the concert. It is a nonprofit that flies veterans from St. Petersburg to Washington, D.C. for the day.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
