HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is accused of making a bomb threat to an assisted living facility in Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to the Colonnade at Carrollwood, at 13550 S. Village Drive, on April 7 after staff reported receiving a threatening phone call. Investigators said the caller claimed there was a bomb inside the building before abruptly hanging up.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they conducted a thorough search of the facility but did not locate any explosives or additional threats. No injuries were reported.
Following the incident, detectives were able to identify the caller as Alexander Lufriu, 33, who previously lived in Hillsborough County and now has ties to Scott County, Minnesota. Investigators determined the phone number used to make the threat was associated with Lufriu.
With assistance from the Prior Lake Police Department, authorities located Lufriu in Minnesota. He was arrested on April 8 in Scott County.

“Threatening lives and causing panic in our community is unacceptable,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said on Monday. “We will track you down, no matter where you are, and hold you accountable.”

Lufriu is facing charges that include making a false report of a bomb, explosive, or weapon of mass destruction, as well as unlawful use of a two-way communications device. Officials said additional charges could follow.
