The Tampa Bay Rodeo confirmed the rider is okay.
TAMPA, Fla. — A viral video circulating online shows a cowboy getting struck by a horse while participating in the Tampa Bay Rodeo.
Video from an event on Saturday at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds in Dover shows competitor TK McNair attempting to excite the crowd after falling off his horse and performing a backflip off of the guard rails.
After landing the flip, several other horses are seen heading towards McNair before one of them runs him over, causing the crowd to gasp audibly.
Tampa Bay Rodeo officials confirmed McNair is okay.
McNair later took to social media and seemingly had a fun time reading comments reacting to the incident.
“THE INTERNET STAYS UNDEFEATED BUT HEY THE GRIT DON’T QUIT AND IM READY FOR MY NEXT RIDE IN MAY,” his Instagram caption says.
