FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — In a crackdown on the ongoing fentanyl crisis, authorities in St. Lucie County have arrested two suspects and seized a cache of illegal drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

“Fentanyl is destroying lives, and we will not tolerate those who profit from it. If you are dealing this poison in St. Lucie County, we will find you and hold you accountable,” said Sheriff Richard Del Toro.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said that on Wednesday, their Special Investigations Division, with the assistance of the SWAT Team, DEA, and the U.S. Marshals Task Force, executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 600 block of North 6th Street.

It was reported that during the investigation, law enforcement officers seized a substantial amount of illegal drugs, including approximately 48 grams of cocaine, 37 grams of methamphetamine, 29 grams of fentanyl, 14 grams of MDPV, and 10 grams of an unidentified powder substance.

Two residents from Fort Pierce were arrested in connection with the drug bust.

Horace Calhoun III, 45, faces charges of Sale and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance related to fentanyl. Meanwhile, 42-year-old Faith Rhim has been accused of Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Fentanyl, and Trafficking in Phenethylamines.

Calhoun and Rhim are currently being held at the St. Lucie County Jail.
