A man is dead and another is injured after an overnight home invasion robbery turned into a shooting, St. Pete police say.
Officers say they responded just before midnight Wednesday at a duplex in the area of 14th Avenue South where they found two men shot.
Investigators believe the two were shot during a home invasion robbery with “drug overtones.”
One man died at the scene while the other was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
