Florida A&M University police said people on campus can return to normal operations after ordering the shelter-in-place shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU) officials gave the “all-clear” Thursday afternoon shortly after ordering students and staff to shelter in place on their Tallahassee campus for “police activity,” according to the school’s social media.
FAMU authorities reported police activity near FAMU Villages and Bragg Stadium shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday, asking people to avoid the area and shelter in place.
Around 30 minutes later, FAMU authorities lifted the order, giving the all-clear on police activity at the stadium, FAMU Villages, Gaither Gymnasium, Gaither Office and Classroom, and Rattler Pointe A. They said those on campus can return to normal operations.
