An investigation by the Internet Predator Unit, which discovered child sexual abuse materials were being downloaded in a Tampa residence, resulted in an arrest.
TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County deputies arrested a Tampa man and charged him with 100 counts of possession of child pornography.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that Antionce Bravo, 31, was arrested after deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Cedar Trace Circle in the University area.
The investigation began after the Internet Predator Unit discovered that child sexual abuse materials were being downloaded from that address.
Deputies said that when they arrived on Thursday, they learned that Bravo tried to destroy multiple electronic devices, including a cellphone, a laptop and two desktop computers. Once evidence was recovered, detectives said they found child sexual abuse materials in them.
Bravo is now facing multiple charges, including 100 counts of solicitation or possession of child pornography, four counts of tampering with physical evidence, unlawful use of a two-way communications device as well as charges for film, distribution or possession of video or image of sexual activity with an animal.
“These crimes are among the most heinous we investigate,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Despite this individual’s attempt to destroy evidence, our team acted quickly to secure what was needed to hold him accountable.”
This remains an active investigation.
