TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Addition Financial Credit Union launched a Leon County Schools debit card aimed at providing an easy way to support public education.
According to a press release, the School District Debit Card Program will donate three cents every time a member signs, swipes or taps the card.
The goal is to turn routine debit card use into continued support for Leon County Schools.
“This program is just one of many great examples of what’s possible when schools and community partners work together in meaningful ways,” said Rocky Hanna, Superintendent of Leon County Schools. “Every transaction made with this card directly benefits our district, creating a steady stream of support that helps us reinvest in our students and schools.”
LCS is now the fifth school district to join the School District Debit Card Program. According to Addition Financial, the program has put hundreds and thousands of dollars into public education since it started in 2009.
