PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Gulf Shores man has been sentenced in Florida on a weapons charge, according to U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida John P. Heekin.

According to a news release, 45-year-old Grant Bieber was sentenced to four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

Court documents show Escambia County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a disturbance at a Cantonment home on Oct. 28, 2024.

When they arrived, Bieber and a woman were found inside the woman’s vehicle outside the home. Bieber’s truck was parked near the woman’s car.

Based on information gathered from the investigation, deputies got a search warrant and searched Bieber’s car, where they found a box of .22-caliber ammunition and a wallet that had Bieber’s Alabama driver license in the enter console.

Because Bieber had previously been convicted of multiple felony offenses, he was barred from possessing firearms or ammunition.
