For more than 30 years, The Wharf Waterfront Restaurant & Bar in Pass-a-Grille has been a favorite with locals and visitors alike. The ol’ Florida vibes, cool cocktails, rocking jukebox, sensational seafood and great service make this a popular watering hole, especially for sports fans who enjoy the 17 TVs.
Come by car…or boat! Located at 2001 Pass A Grille Way, the St. Pete Beach hotspot has new docks, a fabulous new patio on the water out back and a refreshed front porch where Rocking Rob Tyre plays every Wednesday-Saturday from 6-9:30 pm. Dine outside or almost al fresco at the beautiful indoor, open-air dining room and wraparound bar with the sea breeze blowing through the open windows.
Inside the landmark 100-year-old building, you’ll enjoy the historic fishing photos and wacky signs, and the hostess will welcome you to the best party on the beach, served with a side of great food and conversations with new friends.

Festive food for every occasion
When you’re ready to eat, start the party with the succulent appetizers and a cold craft beer. Favorites include the juicy shrimp (peel-and-eat, coconut, spicy bang bang or stuffed with cheese and jalapeno), wonderful wings in nine different flavors, seared rare ahi tuna, fried calamari, smoked fish spread, battered mushrooms or green beans, loaded tots, or jalapeno conch fritters.
The sandwiches and burgers are equally tantalizing. Try the blackened mahi sandwich, the massive Reuben with housemade ranch chips, the steak and cheese or patty melt, as well as the monster burger with bacon and pepper jack slathered with chipotle mayo. Go light with a chopped or Caesar salad. Like Cajun food? You’ll love the New Orleans-style gumbo with chicken, ham, andouille and shrimp.
The Wharf is famous for its perfectly-seasoned blackened grouper sandwiches, baskets (shrimp, scallops, fried oysters, baby back ribs) with fries and coleslaw, and dinners served with any two sides featuring grouper, ribeye, crab cakes, yellowfin tuna, mahi, salmon and more. Save room for the key lime pie and peanut butter explosion. Ask about their kid-friendly menu!

Waterfront happy hours and specials
The Wharf also has a fantastic happy hour (at the bar only, FYI), with great deals Monday through Friday from 3:30-6 pm. They also have stellar daily specials, including Fish Fry Tuesdays (a full basket of fried fish with fries, slaw, and hushpuppies) and Taco Wednesdays. The kitchen regularly rolls out specialty dishes throughout the week, so we recommend following along on facebook to see the latest. You can peruse the daily specials here.
Planning a party? Make a reservation for the new private event space out front that comes with a dedicated server overlooking the water on the outdoor patio. For regular dining, there are no reservations and parties six or more may be seated at multiple tables. In addition to docks for boaters, there is free parking on site and paid beachfront parking just down the road. By boat, car, Uber or bike, a day at The Wharf is a day in Pass-a-Grille paradise.
