Fuel spill causes lane closures on EB I-4 near Lakeland

LAKELAND, Fla. — Two eastbound lanes of I-4 are currently closed due to a fuel spill. This is just east of Exit 38.

Crews are on scene applying absorbent material to help contain and mitigate the spill.

It is expected that lane closures will remain in place until around 8 p.m. tonight or until further notice.

Crews will have to resurface the affected areas.

Expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
