The Martin County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday morning that a pilot survived a small airplane crash in the Hungryland Preserve, near Southwest Pratt Whitney Road.The sheriff’s office said it responded to reports of an emergency landing late Saturday night.The sheriff’s office said the pilot confirmed the aircraft crashed within the preserve and indicated he was OK.The pilot was the only person on the aircraft and Martin County Fire Rescue said the pilot was transported to a local hospital.
