With BTS performing this weekend as well as multiple events taking place in Tampa, such as the K-Pop Asian Night Market, officials say people should expect heavy traffic.

Monday, officials in the City of Tampa are urging people to plan ahead for heavy traffic in Tampa, as they expect its major entertainment hubs to draw tens of thousands of visitors to concerts, festivals and conventions.

Officials say that among its biggest draws over the weekend of April 24-26 is BTS, which will be performing three nights at Raymond James Stadium and is expected to attract over 60,000 fans each night.

Due to the concerts, officials say that Tampa Bay Boulevard will close, starting at 6 a.m Wednesday, April 22, and will reopen at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.

Tampa officials say these will be some of the major events impacting the flow of traffic in the city:

Tampa officials also added that BTS will also perform on Tuesday, April 28, at Raymond James Stadium, starting at 8 p.m.

City officials say using alternative transportation options can help make moving around easier. Options include using the free TECO Line Streetcar, the DASH service, HART buses, scooters and bikes.

They add that garages in downtown Tampa offer free covered bicycle parking and the Benchmark International Arena offers free bike valet for event attendees.
