A Miami woman was arrested after she broke into her ex-girlfriend’s home armed with a gun while her ex was asleep with her new boyfriend, authorities said.
Markia Passmore, 24, was arrested Monday on a charge of home invasion robbery with a firearm, an arrest report said.
According to the report, the victim is Passmore’s ex-girlfriend who she was involved in romantic relationship with for about eight years.
The ex-girlfriend was sleeping with her new boyfriend at her home when Passmore entered through the front door that was accidentally left unlocked, the report said.
Passmore entered the bedroom where they were sleeping and woke them up, asking who the man was, while brandishing a gun on her waist, the report said.
At one point, Passmore pointed the gun at both victims and told the boyfriend to leave, before the ex-girlfriend’s daughter appeared, asking her mother if she was ok and telling Passmore to stop, the report said.
Passmore grabbed the ex-girlfriend and pulled her hair, and the boyfriend and daughter tried to pull Passmore off the ex before Passmore pulled out her gun and told them to get away or she was going to shoot them, the report said.
Passmore took an iPad then entered a bathroom and started breaking perfume bottles before fleeing, the report said.
Authorities said they later found Passmore and recovered the gun used in the incident and the iPad, and said Passmore admitted to entering the home while armed and taking the iPad.
Passmore was booked into jail expected to appear in bond court on Tuesday.
