The Miami Foundation is offering two scholarship opportunities for Miami high school seniors and current college students pursuing a wide range of academic and career paths, from science and the arts to community service, law, and beyond. Supported by generous contributions from city and county partners and private donors, these scholarships help expand access to higher education and reduce the financial burden for local students.
Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to maximize their financial aid opportunities. Applications are available here.Â
The two available scholarships are:Â
The  College Assistance Program (CAP) provides scholarships to graduates of Miami-Dade County public high schools (students who graduated after November 1, 1996) who have fully exhausted all available federal, state, and institutional financial aid and continue to demonstrate significant unmet financial need to attend the college of their choice.
The Venture Miami Scholarship Fund offers tuition assistance by providing gap funding for eligible City of Miami and Little Haiti residents who have been accepted into STEM or defined demand occupation programs at participating colleges, universities, and trade schools. These currently include Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, the University of Miami, Barry University, St. Thomas University, and Creative Hub Academy.
Application deadline for both scholarships is May 24, 2026.
As part of its commitment to educational equity and workforce development, The Miami Foundation has expanded its online resources to better support students and families navigating the college process. New tools available include a free Financial Aid Help Desk staffed by experts, a college cost calculator, guidance for planning life after graduation, and access to hundreds of additional external scholarships. These resources can be found at miamifoundation.org/scholarships/resources.Â
The Miami Foundation is also inviting individual donors and businesses to establish or contribute to scholarship funds to further expand opportunities for local students. These investments create meaningful, long-term impact to encourage students to complete their degrees in Florida and contribute their talents back to Miami-Dade’s future workforce. Custom and named scholarship opportunities are available.
Miami Foundation helped 888 students secure $2.29 million in scholarships. You could be next! Don’t miss your opportunity! Apply before the deadline.
