The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Saturday, charging him with manslaughter in connection to an apartment shooting Friday night that resulted in a woman’s death.
Isaiah Robinson, 19, was arrested in connection to a shooting that happened inside an apartment on Collins Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
At 7:46 p.m. Friday, JSO Sgt. Matthews said patrol units responded to an apartment located in the 4900 block of Collins Road in reference to reports of an individual who had been shot. Upon arrival, a woman was located inside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, JSO said. She was then taken to a local hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.
“During the course of the investigation, Isaiah Micaleb Robinson, who was detained at the scene, was quickly developed as the suspect in the case,” JSO said in a release. “After interviewing Robinson and reviewing all the available evidence, he was arrested and charged with manslaughter.”
