GRANT-VALKARIA, Fla. — The FBI’s Tampa division is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing truck driver who may have disappeared after being hijacked.

Federal officials say 41-year-old Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez was last seen on Friday, April 17, at the Brevard County Rest Area on I-95 south in Grant-Valkaria.

Gonzalez was in the middle of transporting vehicles from the Port of Brunswick, Georgia, to Miami.

Investigators say Gonzalez rested for several hours at the Brevard County truck stop, but the truck’s GPS indicated it left sometime that morning to head towards Jacksonville. At that point, he became unreachable.

The truck and some of the cars have since been recovered after they were found in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Three other vehicles were later located in Florida, but some are still missing.

The FBI says Gonzalez is 5-feet, 11 inches tall and around 200 pounds. He has a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm, another on his lower right arm and another of the word “Elisia” on his right forearm.

Anyone with information on where Gonzalez may be is asked to call 1-800-CALL FBI or submit tips to tips.fbi.gov.

You can also submit any videos or photos taken from the morning Gonzales was last seen to the FBI’s website.
