TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— Tampa will be “K-poppin’” this weekend as the BTS World Tour “Arirang” makes its way to Raymond James Stadium.

BTS will perform at Raymond James Stadium for three nights and is expected to attract more than 60,000 fans each night, the City of Tampa said.

Here is what you need to know:

Tampa lights up purple

Mayor Jane Castor announced that the city of Tampa will be lit up purple this weekend to welcome the tour.

The Tampa International Airport will also be lit up purple to greet the thousands of fans coming to Tampa for the concerts.

Weekend events

A K-pop Asian night market kicks off at Perry Harvey Park on Friday at 3 p.m. and will go until Sunday.

The BTS merch tent outside the Raymond James Stadium is now open, and fans have camped out since midnight to get some of the items. 

Gates open at Raymond James at 5:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 8 p.m.

Tampa traffic

Tampa Bay Boulevard will be closed until Wednesday, April 29th, at 6 p.m. due to the concerts this weekend.

BTS went on hiatus in 2022, so the seven members could complete their mandatory military service in South Korea.
