For the first time since joining the SEC in 2012, Texas A&M baseball clinched a series over the Florida Gators for a massive road win in league play.

The Aggies opened the series on a sour note with a 9-2 loss against the Gators, but bounced back for an 8-4 win in Game 2 on Saturday night. Texas A&M dominated the series finale, however, allowing eight hits and just one earned run, while recording 11 hits and five earned runs against a talented Florida pitching staff.

Aggie right fielder Jorian Wilson continued his incredible freshman campaign with a solo home run in the sixth, followed by one of the most outstanding plays of the season. The Hallettsville, Texas, native caught a deep fly in the outfield before throwing a laser to home plate for a double play that ended the bottom of the eighth and prevented the Gators from scoring a run.

Texas A&M catcher Bear Harrison put an exclamation point on the dominant performance with a solo home run of his own in the top of the ninth to put the Aggies ahead by four. Clayton Freshcorn closed things out on the bump, as the Maroon and White secured its fifth straight SEC series win, improving to 33-8 (14-6 in SEC play).
