TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Music and book lovers came together this weekend for the annual Word of South festival despite some weekend showers.
Erin Rehberg said she enjoys coming to the annual Tallahassee festival.
“I’ve been coming to Word of South for the past several years,” Rehberg said. “I think it’s great that there are musicians and speakers and poets and authors.”

Organizers describe the festival as a “unique blend of writers and musicians,” that give attendees a chance to learn more about the relationship between the two professions.
Rehberg came from Thomasville to be part of this year’s festival.
“A performer that we both enjoy – Sean Dietrich – is here, so I invited my friend to come down and check him out,” she said. “It’s just great in a southern environment like this to get to see some local talent.”
The festival originally launched in 2015, and this year’s headliner was Earth, Wind & Fire.
