JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — A Jacksonville man is behind bars without bond after deputies say a domestic dispute turned violent, leaving a woman with injuries to her neck and face.
According to warrants, 21-year-old Julian Isaias Aguilar was arrested Friday, April 24, and is facing charges of assault by strangulation, domestic violence, and assault on a female.
Records state Aguilar assaulted a woman during an argument inside an apartment. Court documents state the victim had red marks and swelling around her neck consistent with strangulation.
Authorities allege Aguilar grabbed the victim around the neck and pushed her into a corner during the altercation.
Warrants also state he used additional force during the incident, including pulling her by the hair out of a vehicle and throwing her around inside the apartment. Investigators say he also struck her during the argument.
Aguilar is currently being held in the Onslow County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, April 27.
