PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — The 37-year-old woman who was reported missing and believed to have wandered into a body of water was found alive on Tuesday night.

The woman, identified as Kelly Marie Catrambone, was reported missing on Monday, prompting an investigation by the Port St. Lucie Police Department that led officers to NE Emerson Street. Police said Catrambone was last seen around 5 p.m. on Friday, October 24.

According to Dominick Mesiti, with the Port St. Lucie Police Department, at 9 p.m. drone units were checking the area when an officer suddenly heard a woman calling for help across the St. Lucie River.

K-9 officers with assistance from a private boat owner were able to locate Catrambone thirty minutes later. Police say she was found stuck in approximately 2 feet of water near an island of mangroves and was unable to move.

She had no injuries but was extremely dehydrated, police says.
