OPA-LOCKA, Fla. — Miami-Dade deputies have released the name of a man killed in a crash in Opa-locka over the weekend. He died one day before his birthday.

It happened around 7:10 a.m. Sunday in the area of Northwest 135th Street and 27th Avenue.

Deputies said Steven Hadley, who would have turned 36 on Monday, was speeding and crashed into several vehicles.

Investigators said Hadley was thrown from the vehicle in the fiery wreck.

Meanwhile, medics airlifted two women in the car with him to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors say speeding and car crashes are a frequent problem in the area.
